Warrants Issued for Burglaries

Marshall County Iowa - Citizens aid local law enforcement in the investigation of burglaries. Their calls help Deputies clear up a series of thefts and burglaries in rural Marshall County.

The Marshall County Sheriff's Office reports the issuance of arrest warrants for 6 individuals as a result of the completion of an investigation into a number of rural daytime burglaries which occurred during a 4 month period from August - November of 2010.

Processing of evidence, in conjunction with a series of interviews conducted by Marshall County investigators lead to the issuance of warrants for a variety of criminal charges to include;

  • Theft 2nd Degree - Class D Felony punishable by a Max. fine of $7,500 and/or 5 years incarceration.
  • Burglary 3rd Degree - Class D Felony punishable by a Max. fine of $7,500 and/or 5 years incarceration.
  • Aiding and Abetting 3rd Degree Burglary - Class D Felony punishable by a Max. fine of $7,500 and/or 5 years incarceration.
  • Attempted Burglary - Aggravated Misdemeanor punishable by a Max. fine of $5,000 and/or 2 years incarceration.

Arrested and held on the charges of Burglary 3rd and Theft 2nd was Brandon Michael Harris, Age 18 of Marshalltown.

Warrants remain outstanding for the following individuals;

  • Adam Joseph Becker, Age 19 of Marshalltown on charges of Attempted Burglary and Burglary 3rd.
  • Elmer Abel Maldonado, Age 20 of Marshalltown on charges of Attempted Burglary and Burglary 3rd.
  • Louisa Mary Lopez, Age 47 of Marshalltown on the charge of Aiding and Abetting Burglary 3rd.
  • Thomas Jeremy Lopez, Age 16 of Marshalltown on the charges of Theft 2nd and Burglary 3rd.
  • Raymundo Flores, Age 16 of Marshalltown on the charges of Theft 2nd and Burglary 3rd.

Sheriff Ted G. Kamatchus stated, "An important factor in the positive out-come of this investigation involved citizens being vigilant. Our office received several calls on our TIP line which provided vital pieces of information. These bits of intelligence were combined with other investigative results that lead to the generation of suspects." Kamatchus went on to say, "Once we have the pieces to the puzzle it becomes time for good old fashioned police work. I'm proud of the work our investigators did in putting this case together."

The Marshall County Sheriff's Office is releasing photos and information on the suspects who remain outstanding in hopes that the citizens can assist us in their apprehension.
