Rural Rhodes UTV Crash Results in Injuries

On July 4, 2026 at 6:27pm, the Marshall County Communications Center received a report of a UTV (side by side) rollover crash with injuries on private property southwest of Rhodes.  Upon arrival Deputies and EMS were able to locate the patients with the assistance of bystanders who witnessed the crash.  Both occupants of the UTV were taken by air ambulances to Des Moines area hospitals for treatment of serious injuries.  Names of those involved are not being released at this time.  The crash remains under investigation.  Deputies were assisted at the scene by Life Flight helicopters, Melbourne Fire, Melbourne/Rhodes EMS, State Center EMS, State Center Police, and Unity Point Ambulance.
