Marshall County Deputies Respond to Multi-Vehicle Crash Near State Center, Iowa

At approximately 12:30 PM Marshall County Sheriff’s Deputies were dispatched to the intersection of Durham Avenue and Highway 30 near State Center, Iowa for a motor vehicle crash involving a commercial tractor trailer and a passenger vehicle.  When Deputies arrived, the tractor trailer driver, identified as Joshua Good, 38, Ogden, Iowa was out of the vehicle and uninjured.  The driver or the passenger vehicle, identified as Robert Craigmile, 89, from Gowrie, Iowa was severely injured as a result of the collision.

Mr. Craigmile had been reported missing in Webster County on 08/04/2026.  Mr. Craigmile was transported to UnityPoint Hospital-Marshalltown and later transferred to Iowa Methodist Hospital in Des Moines, Iowa for advance care.  The condition of Mr. Craigmile is unknown at this time. 

This motor vehicle crash remains under investigation by the Iowa State Patrol and Marshall County Sheriff’s Office. 

The Marshall County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by Iowa State Patrol, State Center Police Department, Unity Point Health-Marshalltown Ambulance Service, State Center Fire Department and First Responders.
