6 N. 11th Ave. Marshalltown, IA - A Mid-Iowa Drug Task Force investigation resulted in the arrests of two local men, for drug offenses, on Monday evening, 10-29-07.
Officers with the drug task force, the Marshalltown Police Department, and the Marshall County Sheriff's Office, executed a search warrant at 6 N. 11th Ave., Marshalltown, and took the two men into custody after officers seized approximately 112 grams of "ice" methamphetamine.
Drug paraphernalia and a car were also seized on the warrant.

Angel-Melendez and Joya-Flores were jailed and held on bond, after an initial appearance in court, on 10-30-07. The arrests stemmed from a 2-month investigation into sales of methamphetamine. The street value of the methamphetamine is estimated at over $10,000.00.
The Mid-Iowa Drug Task Force received additional assistance in the investigation from the Des Moines Police Narcotics Division and the Iowa National Guard Counterdrug program.
The Mid-Iowa Drug Task force is funded by a federal Bryne Justice Assistance grant, administered by the United States Department of Justice, Bureau of Justice Assistance, and the State Governor's Office of Drug Control Policy. The task force operates in Grundy, Hardin, Marshall and Tama Counties.
