Mid Iowa Drug Task Force Serves Two Narcotic Search Warrants

Marshalltown, Iowa - On July 3rd, 2012 agents with the Mid Iowa Drug Task Force served narcotics search warrants at 515 Woodbury Street and 207 W. Grant Street apartment #2, Marshalltown Iowa.

As a result of this investigation three suspects were arrested and transported to the Marshall County Jail on various criminal charges after locating a clandestine methamphetamine laboratory:

Guy Richard Bown, age 36, 515 Woodbury St., Marshalltown Ia.

  • Manufacturing a schedule II controlled substance (methamphetamine), Class B Felony
  • Four counts possession of a precursor used to manufacture methamphetamine, Class D Felony
  • Possession of schedule I controlled substance (marijuana), Aggravated misdemeanor
  • Possession of schedule II controlled substance (methamphetamine), Aggravated misdemeanor
  • Transporting/storing anhydrous ammonia in an unauthorized container, Serious misdemeanor
  • Drug tax stamp violation, Class D felony
  • Prohibited acts, Aggravated misdemeanor

Steven Eugene Kunch, age 53, 112 N. 13th Ave. Marshalltown Ia.

  • Three counts possession schedule III controlled substance, Class D Felony
  • Possession of a prescription medication, Serious misdemeanor
  • Possession of drug paraphernalia, Simple misdemeanor
  • Open container, Simple misdemeanor

Katherine Elizabeth Nail, age 31, 11 N. 10th Ave., Marshalltown Ia.

  • Possession of drug paraphernalia, Simple misdemeanor

207 W. Grant Street #2, Marshalltown Iowa

As a result of this investigation two suspects were arrested and transported to the Marshall County Jail on various criminal charges:

Terry Lee Baedke, age 48, 207 W. Grant St. #2, Marshalltown Ia.

  • Three counts possession schedule II controlled substance, Aggravated misdemeanor
  • Possession of schedule III controlled substance, Aggravated misdemeanor
  • Possession of a prescription medication, Serious misdemeanor
  • Prohibited acts, Serious misdemeanor
  • Assault on a peace officer, Serious misdemeanor
  • Interference with official acts, Simple misdemeanor

Linda Sue Baedke, age 42, 207 W. Grant St., #2, Marshalltown Ia.

  • Three counts possession schedule II controlled substance, Aggravated misdemeanor
  • Possession of schedule III controlled substance, Aggravated misdemeanor
  • Possession of a prescription medication, Serious misdemeanor
  • Prohibited acts, Serious misdemeanor

Additional arrests are pending in both investigations.

The Mid Iowa Drug Task Force was assisted with execution of the search warrants by the Marshalltown Police Department, Marshalltown Fire Department, and Marshalltown Area Paramedic Service.

The Mid-Iowa Drug Task Force is funded by a grant, through the United States Department of Justice, Bureau of Justice Assistance, and the Governor's Office of Drug Control Policy. The Task Force operates in Grundy, Hardin, Marshall and Tama Counties.
