Male found deceased in Rural County

October 4, 2007

2359 233rd Street - At approximately 0329 hours on 10/04/07, the Marshall County Sheriff's Office responded to 2359 233rd Street, the Marshall County Conservation Center, an attempt to locate a suicidal subject.

Upon arrival, Deputies conducted a search of the area, locating a male subject that appeared to have died of a self inflicted injury. The male subject was identified as Alex Runner, 22, of Marshalltown. He was pronounced dead on scene by Marshall County Medical Examiner Dr. David Bethel.

The Marshall County Sheriff's Office was assisted on scene by Marshall County Medical Examiner Office.

At this time this incident is still under investigation. No foul play is anticipated.
