Marshall County Sheriff's Office - The Marshall County Sheriff's Office is scheduled for an on-site assessment as part of a program to maintain accreditation by verifying it meets professional standards.
Administered by the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies, Inc. (CALEA), the accreditation program requires agencies to comply with state of the art standards in four basic areas; policy and procedures, administration, operations, and support services.
Agency employees and the public are also invited to offer comments by calling 641-754-6377 ext. 4138 on Monday, December 8th, between the hours of 3:00 PM - 5:00 PM. Comments will be taken by the Assessment Team. Following this call in session; agency employees and members of the community are invited to offer comments at a public information session Monday, December 8th , at 5:00 PM. The session will be conducted at the Marshall County Sheriff's Office 3rd Floor Meeting Room. The Sheriff's Office is located at 2369 Jessup Ave.
Telephone comments as well as appearances at the public information session are limited to 10 minutes and must address the agency's ability to comply with CALEA's standards. A copy of the standards is available at the Marshall County Sheriff's Office. Requests to see a copy should be made to Assistant Accreditation Manager Mindy Kruse at 641-754-6380 x2866.
