At approximately 2:48 AM on July 19, 2023, Deputies were dispatch to 3100-Mile of Quarry Road, Marshalltown, Iowa for a report of a single vehicle rollover accident with unknown occupants. When deputies arrived on scene the reporting party was located near the vehicle along with an unresponsive occupant.
The occupant, identified as Giana D. Alvarez, age 21, of Marshalltown, Iowa was later pronounced deceased on scene as a result of injuries sustained from the accident.
This motor vehicle crash remains under investigation. Anyone with information regarding this crash investigation is encouraged to contact the Marshall County Sheriff’s Office, Iowa State Patrol or Marshall County Communications Center.
